A guide to the basic Catalyst customisation options that can be configured in the template with a description of each of the available options and how they affect the presentation of the template.
Catalyst features several built in configuration options that have been designed to be easily changed with a single control. You can take advantage of these customisation options by making changes in the Catalyst Template Manager. Here is a breakdown of the available options:
Catalyst has 6 pre-made theme presets that can be easily selected from the option shown below.
Catalyst has 6 pre-made body color styles that can be easily selected from the option shown below.
Catalyst has 10 pre-made header textures that can be easily selected from the option shown below.

You have the ability to select, with ease, the width of the template. The manager setting is what you edit to either reduce or increase templates width.
The template parameter controls which Joomla! menu is loaded for the horizontal navigation bar.
Catalyst has 4 options for the horizontal navigation bar. You can either, select moomenu, suckerfish, splitmenu, or as a separate module position.
The module configuration variable controls how many consecutive modules you can have for a position.
You can choose which font you would like to use for your titles.
With the template setting, you can choose the width of the left column.
With the template setting, you can choose the width of the right column.
With the setting, choose to have the sidebar placed on the left or right of the mainbody. The name of the module positions changes to reflect left or right.
Based on your own personal preference, you can set the default font size with the template setting.
This setting controls whether the pathway appears on your site.
There is now a convenient toggle to show the tabbed modules or not.
